WHY JESUS NEVER SAID HE WAS THE SON OF GOD???…INDEED HE DID!!!
By Lisa Bell:
Jesus Said He was the Son of God Many Times and in Many Ways throughout the Gospels Found in the Holy Bible; the Way He Chose to Answer in the Affirmative of Those that Ask of Him. The Prophets Prophesied Many Times of the Coming Messiah in the Old Testament and Jesus, the Son of God Fulfilled Every Prophecy Written About Him as the Son of God in the New Testament!!! Jesus would often tell His disciples, followers, and Those He Helped, it was Not His Time for Him to be Revealed and Glorified. Jesus wanted No One to Attempt to Stop Him From Fulfilling His Mission On Earth; to Die and be Raised Again, for the Sins of the World. Those that Did Learn of Jesus’ Deity Early, Many times He would Say, Tell No One, for His Time Had Not Yet Come!!!
“Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil” (John 7:6).
Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ: The Son of the Living God!!!
“Jesus Asked His Disciples, “Who Do People Say that
The Son of Man Is?”
“Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ” (Matthew 16:13-20).
The Bible Teaches:
I and the Father Are One:
“At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” 33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.” Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken—do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.
He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained. And many came to him. And they said, “John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.” And many believed in him there” (John 10:22-42).
But, Those Who Seek to Find this Answer and Ask Amiss, with the Wrong Motives, No Answer Will Ever Be Good Enough for Them Because of the Worldliness that is Inside of Them!!!
Warning Against Worldliness
You Ask with the Wrong Motives:
“What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions” (James 4:2-3).
Only Those Who Seeks Jesus Earnestly Shall Find The Son of The Living God and Those Whom His Father Draws to Him that are Serious!!!
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day”(John 6:44).
Unless You Are Seriously Seeking the Son of God
You Shall Not Find Him!!!
If you want to Find Jesus, the Savior, the Son of God, as Much as a Drowning Man or Woman Gasping for His or Her Last Breath You Will Not Find Him!!!
Sadly, Some Will Never Believe No Matter
What Answer You Give Them!!!
Said Best By Abraham: “He said to him, ‘If They Do Not Hear Moses and the Prophets, Neither will They be Convinced if Someone Should Rise From the Dead’” (…Like the Son of God!!!)
“And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house— for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent. He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead’” (Luke 16:27-31).
