By Lisa Bell:
The One Command with Choice In the Beginning:
God made His creation with the ability to Choose Him or Not!! He made them with free moral agency. He made them as free moral agents. This was true for Adam and Eve in the beginning of time, the first created human beings. God warned the first of humankind, man and woman to adhere to His “One” command given to them in the Garden of Eden. God told them of the consequences and the things that would occur if they disobeyed Him. Yet, God did not keep them from Not Choosing to obey His command and will. Both Adam and Eve ultimately decided to choose their own will over God’s will and were faced with the grim consequences of their choice to follow.
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil….Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its
place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:7-9, 15–24).
“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” And the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate” (Genesis 3:1–6).
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made.
He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
The Lord God said to the serpent,
“Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all livestock
and above all beasts of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and dust you shall eat
all the days of your life.
The Word Became Flesh
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5).
Genesis 3:15: The Prophecy of the Word, the Son of God, becoming Flesh unto Salvation from Sins–
Scheme of Mankind’s Redemption
“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world” (John 1:9).
The Lord Jesus Christ: The Answer to “Mankind’s Fall”
(Genesis 3:15)”I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”
The Consequences of “The Fall”
To the woman he said,
“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;
in pain you shall bring forth children.
Your desire shall be contrary to your husband,
but he shall rule over you.”
And to Adam he said,
“Because you have listened to the voice of your wife
and have eaten of the tree
of which I commanded you,
‘You shall not eat of it,’
cursed is the ground because of you;
in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;
and you shall eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your face
you shall eat bread,
till you return to the ground,
for out of it you were taken;
for you are dust,
and to dust you shall return.”
The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.
Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—” therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life” (Genesis 3:1-24 ESV).
Sin Separates Mankind From God
“Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,
or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
but your iniquities have made a separation
between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you
so that he does not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood
and your fingers with iniquity;
your lips have spoken lies;
your tongue mutters wickedness”
(Isaiah 59:1-3, ESV).
“Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So!!
“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble” (Psalms 107:2 ESV).
God has given everyone the freedom to choose to worship, serve, and obey Him according to the Holy Bible as His children, both sons and daughters through the Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Christians Get to Choose Jesus!! God also gives non believers, partial believers, and those who do wish to choose Him, but according to their own will and flesh and not according to the Holy Bible and Holy Spirit the freedom to Choose. Therefore, do not try to stop them from Not choosing God’s will according to the Holy Bible because God gives us all the freedom to choose, as He did with Adam and Eve, with consequences!!
Christians in Christ Jesus, be bold and courageous in Christ and proclaim His Truths and Righteousness without fear. Don’t Be Afraid to Teach the gospel of Christ or try Persuade others to “Choose” the Gospel of Christ Jesus!! Jesus Said: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you….Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell”
(Hebrews 13:5; Matthew 10:28).
If you are ashamed of Jesus Christ one day upon His 2nd Coming, He will be ashamed of you!!!
Jesus Said: “Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels”
(Luke 9:26 ESV).
For to Say Nothing is to Choose Unbelief!!! Those Who Do NOT Fully Choose Jesus, The True Light of the World to Mankind, will Continue to Stumble and Fall under the Power and Darkness of Satan and Get Caught in the Devil’s Snares Unawares!!!
Therefore: “Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So… and Be a Light and Salt to a Sick and Dying World!!
God Is No Respecter of Persons Nor Choices
“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:” (Acts 10:34 ESV).
You Are Accepted by God No Matter What You Have Chosen in Life Before You Accept Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Savior. But God Never Accepts Sinful Choices No Matter the Persons and Neither Should Christians, but pray for blinded eyes to be opened, ears to hear truth of the Word of God, and the deceived shown godly wisdom and knowledge according to the Holy Bible!!!
Yes, God, the Creator and Maker of All Humankind!!! God is Over the Consequences of Every Persons’ Choices!!! No Person is Able to Control or be Free from His or Her Consequences Due to His or Her Choices!!
Choosing to Change Your Choices to Please God According to the Holy Bible, through Jesus Christ, is the Wise Choice!!!
There will be Judgment at Christ’s Coming For Those Troubled and
Those Who Made Trouble
“This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ”
(2 Thessalonians 1:1-10 ESV).
Give Something Better!!
We must teach our children early in life, that no matter what misfortunes, ills, or horrible things they may have had to endure in this life, Still to Choose to Do Good Over Evil!! Teach your children they do not have to choose to destroy themselves or other lives when life have dealt them a poor hand!!!
For there will always be bad and terrible days since of “The Fall” of mankind in the Garden of Eden. For all have fallen short of the glory of God since Adam and Eve. No need to blame them and not yourselves. We all have placed nails in His hands and feet with our ungodly choices!! “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;…If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us”(Romans 3:23, ESV; 1 John 1:8 ESV). Perfection awaits those in Christ Jesus “Again” as once the perfect home of Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden; when the consequences of “The Fall” of mankind shall be no more and the perfection of the New life and home in heaven, will shine forth at Jesus’ Return.
Remember: You can give the yourself, others, the world, a stranger, more of the same or worse of what you received and hated in life; or you can give something better, even the best of what you have to offer.
