IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM!!!
By Lisa Bell:
It has been said, that at any given moment, there is someone that is either heading toward a storm, in a storm, or just leaving a storm in his or her life. But although, some rain will fall in all of our lives, there is a God that sits high and looks low to help us through these tough times. God encourages His children to cast all of their worries and cares upon Him because He cares. “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
Instead, use this time to reflect and desire to become mature in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior!!! There is something you need to learn about yourself from while in the storm. It is time to Grow Up in God and no longer be double-minded straddling between the flesh and the spirit!!!
Jesus has said to those that are burdened down, to accept His free gift of salvation from sin first and then allow Him bear your burdens for you; by One who is able to do all things but fail. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:27-30).
Jesus, Himself has said that God can do the impossible, so fear not in the storm. “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible” (Mark 10:27). But it requires blind, radical, and staying power faith in God to quite the storms in your life. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). The reality is the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, are with those that faithfully obey God and love Him.
Above all, Jesus the mighty and gentle Shepherd, that holds the keys of heaven and hell, death and life, has promised to be with you and yours even in death, so fear not.
Remember: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup Runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever” (Psalms 23:1-6).
WE TRULY SERVE AN AWESOME, MIGHTY, AND MAGNIFICENT GOD!!!
MAY YOUR DAY BE BLESSED AND PROTECTED!!
